MORTIFER RAGE - Fall of Gods

Label: Various

(english text below)

Possui três álbuns de estúdio: "Legacy of Obsessions" (2001), "Murderous Ritual" (2008) e o recém lançado "Fall of Gods".

HISTORY:

The band started its activities in 2000. It features three studio albums: "Legacy of Obsessions" (2001), "Murderous Ritual" (2008) and the recently released "Fall of Gods".

Its current lineup consists of Wesley Adrian (drums), Carlos Pira (vocals and bass), R. Amon (guitars and backing vocals) and Robert Aender (guitars).

ANALYSIS:

Nine years after its last album, MORTIFER RAGE presents in the first seconds of "Ethnocentrism" that this time only did good to the band. The evolution is noticeable making this one of the great representatives of the national Death Metal.

The production performed by Andre Damian in partnership with the band (in the studio Freemasonry of the Audio) left the sound very clean: it is possible to hear here the powerfull riffs of the guitars as the technique of the band: one of the best Current Death Metal. I had the impression that Carlos Pira's vocals are a bit higher than the general instruments, but this puts even more violence on the record. If it was purposeful, point to "Fall of Gods"!

HIGH POINTS:

"Fall of Gods" is one of those albums to hear from beginning to end, since its quality is above what we hear there. But "The Hammer," "Immolation" and the insanity of "Doctrines of Death" can stand out a little from the rest.

An arduous task for an album that manages to maintain the high level in all its execution.

Although the cover is one of the most deadly of the national Death Metal, the booklet presents problems in the lyrics of the disc. Of utterly dark tonality, the work to read "Genocide of Minds", for example, becomes arduous.

FINAL VEREDICT:

"Fall of Gods" is shot the best material recorded to date by MORTIFER RAGE. An essential disc for all that maniac by the Metal of the Death. Not triggered for sensitive ears!
